Kitchen Budapest now opens the call for 2010! We are offering guest researcher positions for dedicated professionals, artist, engineers, interested in the convergence of new media and actual spaces, cultural experiences, new communities, interaction design and are highly motivated to create such projects in teams.

Application deadline is 15 December 2009. (for the period of January - June 2010)

I just found this amazing fashion designer. Thanks to Sabine ;-)

One of his most impressive work (at least for me) is this collection. I am wondering how to achieve the same visual effect in real. For sure I will try something in this direction!

Screem that produces sound

The Lumierophone is a screen equipped with fotoresistors that are connected to a synthesizer. According to the amount of the light it produces a different sound.

This is a cool idea and not expensive to produce.

The fun theory

"The fun theory" is a initiative of Volkswagen to estimulate and develop funny urban interventions that somehow change the social behaviour for the good.

In their website you can find some videos of public interactive installations developed by them. There is also a contest with the deadline is 15th November where you can send your idea of a urban funny installation. The Prize is 2500 euros, not bad.
