Once more Fundacion Telefonica rocks and presents the 2009 winners of Vida artficial.
The great winner was "hylozoic soil" by Philip Bessley and Rob Gorbet, witch I had the pleasure to join the montage here in Linz for the new AEC.
I also want to point out the work "Dialética" by Fernando Velzquez and Julia Carboneras and the bealtiful "Poetics cubes" by Patricio Garcia and Juan Manuel Moreno Aróstegui.
Check the websote to see the winners and, if you can, go to the exhibition.

Dorkbot Linz
My friend Mika is organizing a Dorkbot meeting in Linz on 26th February at Rotter Krebs 1st floor from 20:00-.
Dorkbot is a meeting that lets "people doing strange things with electricity" meet each other.
http://dorkbot.org/
(The Dorkbot Linz website is not renewed yet, but will be coming up soon.)
Now we are seeking for people who wants to present their "strange things with electricity" projects at the meeting.
The presentation will be for 10 min, and if possible, will be also nice to let people touch/try/demonstrate it.
So, if you have a project, cool hacking tricks, or something to show, please join us!
prototypes are also welcomed!
contact her at mika@kobakant.at
And also if you do not have a project to show now, but interested in others, join us for the meeting at Rotter Krebs on 26th!

HEADBANG HERO
This is the first complete prototype of Headbang Hero, an interactive project by Tiago Martins, Andreas Zingerle and Ricardo Nascimento. It's a kind of tribute to the popular Guitar Hero game and headbangers all around the world.
The hardware is based on the Arduino platform; the software is based on the Processing environment and the Minim library. Stay tuned for more!
